Meet the Managing Partner
Alyssa Russell is a licensed Certified Management Accountant with a love for working with small business owners. She grew up in the beautiful state of Oregon and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Oregon State University, with a minor in agricultural business. She spent the beginning of her career in public accounting before moving into the private sector shortly after. She moved to Arizona in 2021 and continued deepening her experience in the accounting field, later co‑founding Modern Accountants in 2025.
Outside of the office, she has many hobbies — most of them in the great outdoors. She has a passion for exploring the desert and chasing cattle with her horses, has a green thumb in the garden, loves hosting friends and family, and has taken up golfing (with the help of her husband, Kurt). Her greatest love, of course, is her family, and she welcomed a daughter in 2025.
